Mission Statement:

To guide future growth and development through effective planning, zoning, permitting and enforcement to make available meaningful choices in terms of alternative living environments and life styles, preserve resources for future generations, and to address the needs and concerns of its citizens while ensuring their quality of life.

Overview:

The Santa Fe County Land Use Department provides services such as zoning, subdivisions, lot splits, development permits for building, business registrations, community planning, code enforcement, hydrology, terrain management, special-use permits, and utility allocation to county citizens. Jack Kolkmeyer is the Land Use Director and is responsible for the divisions within the Land Use department.

Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
(Permit Desk open during the noon hour)
Closed for business on Weekends & Holidays
