Valerie Espinoza has a weekly television program entitled Santa Fe County Today which can be viewed on Channel 16 (Community Access). She also has a radio program on Que Suave Radio KSWV AM 810 that airs every Wednesday morning at 8:30 a.m.

Important Notice! Early Voting in Santa Fe County! 

Early Voting begins Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 and ends Saturday Nov. 1, 2008.

The early voting polls are open Tuesdays through Fridays from Noon to 8pm, and on Saturdays from 10am – 6pm. The early voting polls are closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The Early Voting sites in Santa Fe County are:

Absentee-in-person voting begins Tuesday, October 7, 2008 in the County Clerk’s Office at 102 Grant Avenue, Santa Fe (on Grant between Palace Avenue and Johnson St.) This poll is open Mondays through Fridays from 8am – 5pm including lunch time. This poll will be open on only one Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 10 am – 6 pm.

Vision and Mission Statements

The vision of the Santa Fe County Clerk’s Office is to be the most productive elections and recording office with the best customer service and the best solutions for conducting elections and recording documents and accessing public records.

The mission of the Recording Division of the Clerk’s office is to maintain a perpetual, comprehensive set of public records consisting of all documents appropriately presented for recording for the public so that any member of the public can readily access the information to conduct their personal and business activities with the assurance that, where appropriate, privacy will be protected and that their transactions were executed in accordance with the law.

The mission of the Bureau of Elections Division of the Clerk’s Office is to provide accurate voter registration files and election canvasses, while conducting elections to ensure that each individual voter has an opportunity for equal participation in a non-partisan, respectful and professional environment.

The duties assigned to the County Clerk by state law include:
